Anew NZ engaged LGNZ and SOLGM and 20 Councils in the development of the research project, “Advancing Community Outcomes and Indicators, Seeking an Integrated Structure of Indicators and Illustrations of Best Practice in Processes for Community Outcomes and LTCCP”.

The purpose of this research was to assist Councils develop their community outcomes and performance indicators and to assist in moving toward an integrated structure of indicators across all councils.

This research provides information into the questions “What Matters Most to New Zealanders”, and contributes to the understanding of a structure of indicators needed for the project being addressed.  In addition it give further guidance into how to design the community engagement segment of the “What Matters Most to New Zealanders” project.
